Raising Money For Breakthrough Breast Cancer
The girls at High March School celebrated St Patrick’s Day by organising a range of events to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Mrs Barbara Upsdell visited assembly to talk to some of the children and supplied them with a host of things to sell.
Year 6 girls in the Shamrock House organised different events including selling cakes and cookies. There was also a very successful Easter Egg Hunt outside, while the Hall was prepared for the highlight of the day, a fun fashion show. This involved using bin liners to create clothes and accessories to win the title ‘Miss Bin Bag’. The winners were Verity, Sophie and Amelia.
Amelia said, “It was great fun dressing up. I made my costume from a black bin bag and yellow and black emergency style tape and I made a little black bag to go with it!”
Mrs Clifford, said, “The girls always enjoy arranging the fundraising days for everyone to join in.”
The Shamrocks House Captain, Katie said, “We are really pleased that so many people took part and that we have raised over £730 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. We want to thank everyone in the school for giving so generously.”

Academic Success for High March Pupils
Congratulations to all of our Year 6 pupils on their academic results this year. In the Bucks County 11+ selection tests we had a very good pass rate of 78%, with 25% of our cohort achieving the maximum score possible of 141.
In the entrance examinations to independent senior schools all pupils secured their places and will be going to Berkhamsted Collegiate School, Claires Court The College, Pipers Corner School, St Mary’s, The Royal Masonic and Wycombe Abbey. Although the girls are now looking forward to joining their new schools in September, they will leave us with happy memories of their time spent at High March.
Music Scholarship
Many congratulations to Ophelia Jeffrey in form 6C who has been awarded a music scholarship to Berkhamsted Collegiate School.
