Friday 17 March saw the Shamrock House Assembly and Charity Fundraising Day. Girls at both Junior House and Upper School were invited to come to school wearing green to help celebrate St Patrick’s Day.
The day started with Year Six Shamrock House girls giving a wonderfully prepared Morning Assembly, presenting a detailed look into the work of the two chosen charities, The British Heart Foundation and Guide Dogs for the Blind. The Year Six Shamrock House girls then led a range of fundraising activities during the day including a cake sale, guess the name of the dog, guess the number of sweets in the jar, nail painting and best joke competition (for each year group). Despite the inclement weather the day was a big success raising £503.15 for the two charities.
Thanks go to all Shamrocks who worked so hard to make the day a great success and, in particular, to Lauren (House Captain) and Layla (Vice-Captain).
