The work of the High March School Travel Team over a number of years, dating back to 2008, was acknowledged yesterday when the Year 6 JRSOs, Alice and Lara, accompanied by Mrs Avery and Mrs Stevenson, attended the Modeshift Stars National Travel Awards (South and South East region) in London. Out of 3000 schools nationally with school travel plans, 1000 have attained either bronze, silver or gold level. High March has attained bronze and silver and will shortly be aiming for gold.
Of the 1000 schools with STARS accreditation at those levels, 90 were nominated for a national award. Of the 90 schools, only 8 received awards yesterday.
High March was delighted to be awarded Buckinghamshire Primary School of the Year 2017 for our sustained commitment to encouraging walking, cycling, scooting and park and striding to School for the benefit of the School community and the environment.
