Monday 11th December 2017
After much consideration High March will not be open today, Monday 11 December. This is based upon a review of the condition of the High March site following the heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures and the ability of staff to get into School safely. This decision is not one which has been made lightly and, whilst some main roads are improving, residential access is very poor in areas.
As a few staff who live locally can get into School we shall be operating an emergency childcare service only between 10am and 3pm. Please only use this service if absolutely necessary as our staffing levels will be low. Please email the office to let us know that your child(ren) will be coming in. Children should be brought to the office at Junior House. They should wear warm home clothes and bring indoor shoes to change into. As the kitchen staff cannot get into School, please provide your child with a packed lunch and drink.
We hope to re-open the School on Tuesday 12 December, pending site clearance and staff being able to get into School, but an update will be posted on this website in due course. If possible, the planned events for today will be rescheduled to later in the week.
