In November 2017, the Year 6 girls took part in the Primary Maths Challenge, which involved more than 68,000 children across the UK. The test paper consisted of 20 multiple-choice questions and 5 problem-solving questions.
From the first round results, 3255 children nationally were invited to sit the bonus round paper. This included Alice B, Maisie D, Ariana F, Olivia F, Kristina T and Valentina W. The girls took the final paper in February and, although they agreed that the final paper was tough, they enjoyed the challenge.
We were delighted to receive the news that Valentina achieved a bronze award, for scoring 15/25, and Alice was awarded a silver award for achieving 19/25. Well done to the girls for making it to the final and for achieving such a high standard.
