In Junior House Assembly this week we celebrated the achievements of pupils who had completed the Reading Challenge at home during the summer holidays. The Reading Challenge is an initiative run by local libraries and supported by the Arts Council, England and the Reading Agency. Participants are asked to read and rate six books. After the completion of each of the first five books stickers are given. After all six books are read a medal is presented. This year's theme was 'Mischief Makers' and featured characters such as Dennis the Menace and Gnasher.
It was lovely to see how many pupils had gained a medal and their pride in sharing this news.
