We had plenty of fun in Nursery last week looking at different ways to rescue the polar bears and penguins trapped in the ice! Brute force was a popular option, using hammers, screwdrivers and a saw to crack the ice. Another idea was to take the ice blocks outside for the sun to warm and melt it. However, by far the most effective idea was to put the ice blocks in hot water. After all of the animals were rescued, the children used the remaining ice blocks as slides for the penguins.
In a few days’ time, we are going to add colour to the ice to see what happens when we mix them!
