Thursday 31st January 2019
Last Thursday, twelve girls from Years 4, 5 and 6 travelled to Queen Anne’s School in Caversham to take part in their annual Maths Challenge. The competition was based on an adventure theme with a mixture of individual and team rounds. In the individual rounds the girls were timed whilst working on a range of activities, including times tables, repeated addition and missing number puzzles.
The team part of the competition involved completing animal tangrams and a maths relay race, which made for a fun and frantic session!
It was a very successful afternoon with both Years 5 and 6 coming 3rd and Year 4 finishing in 1st place. A huge well done to Charlotte, Katherine, Elin and Millie from Year 4; Lamorna, Eloise, Nicole and Annabel from Year 5; and Olivia, Iris, Jessica and Sophie from Year 6.
