On Friday there was a ripple of excitement in Upper School Assembly when we discovered we had been awarded our very own ‘Buddy’ by the NSPCC. We were selected to be one of the few schools to be given a ‘Buddy’ because we have been supporting the NSPCC faithfully for almost 70 years. Over that time, an impressive amount has been raised for the NSPCC from a variety of fundraising activities, thanks to the generosity of High March girls and their families.
Buddy, a speech bubble, is the NSPCC mascot to remind children of the importance of speaking out to stay safe. Now we have our own Buddy, who will be kept at Upper School, we hope it will keep this important message in all of the girls’ minds.
