Religious Studies is taught every week to all pupils at High March. In Junior House the lessons are taken by the form teacher whilst at Upper School they are taught by a specialist teacher.
The theme of Religious Studies lessons is 'Learning for Life'. The lessons provide the opportunity for children to develop their knowledge of Christianity and the other principal religions represented in Great Britain, and teach tolerance and understanding. Religious Studies lessons teach the value of religious beliefs without promoting one religion over another or urging religious beliefs onto the children.
The lessons can include aspects of Technology, Drama and Art as pupils are asked to consider all aspects of a religion from religious texts to food and clothing, customs and beliefs. At Upper School the lessons sometimes take place in the ICT Suite as research is an important element of the subject.
