Jessica models her T-shirt
In association with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the charity in aid of children with life-threatening conditions, Next invited all budding fashion designers under the age of sixteen to create a unique and orignal T-shirt to go on sale this summer. Entrants to the competition were asked to sketch a design, photograph it and then submit it to Next, where a panel of judges would choose the fifty designs to go through to a Grand Final. Towards the end of last term we were delighted to learn that Jessica Slater in 5K had reached the final.
All fifty finalists were invited to a party at Woburn Abbey on December 21, where they were presented with a T-shirt bearing their design. Jessica had a lovely time at the party and, although she did not win the competition, it was a fantastic achievement to reach the final; we are all thrilled that she did so well.
Many congratulations, Jessica!
