Learning Support

The Learning Support department is extremely well resourced and able to assist pupils with specific learning difficulties

Individual progress is carefully monitored at High March and is reported and shared with parents in both formal and informal ways. Girls requiring support in their learning will be identified and provision made to support them through the Learning Support Department.

It is now widely recognised that some bright and able children will have a specific learning difficulty which can cast a shadow over their academic potential. High March prides itself on identifying these needs at an early stage.

High March has staff with particular expertise in learning support who work alongside the form and subject teachers to ensure achievement and success is experienced by all girls, whatever their learning need. Girls with need of learning support will work on a one to one basis with a specialist teacher to build up their skills and confidence in a relaxed yet structured way. This is usually shared with parents through regular meetings and home/school liaison books.

The girls benefit from the individual attention and therefore those who have problems feel supported and flourish in their learning.
